I am going to be going to the BlogWorld and New Media Expo beginning Thursday until Saturday. I am driving up from San Diego to Las Vegas on Wednesday night and come back on Sunday. I was going to do a show before leaving for Vegas, but school got in the middle of that. So I am going to take the opportunity of being alone in a hotel room and record a show sometime this week. I will be very busy from morning to night with events and parties and mingling, but the late night is all mine to record.

If anyone is interested in going to BlogWorld and wants to meet up with me, feel free to click on the banner above and use BWESEP20 to save 20% on tickets. If you are in Vegas and just want to meet up, also let me know and we can find a bar or restaurant or something and get together. As usual I will have my iPhone with me and am always signed into E-mail and Twitter and all the IM clients, so hit me up!

Thanks and talk to you guys soon!

This episode is my return to podcasting after a few months and I think it is a nice start. I talk about the Apple TV as it refers to the new iTunes 9, price cuts, a new "Apple TV" TV, and how it's been getting a lot of hate lately. Also 10.6 has a nice surprise for media center users. I would like to thank Allison Sheridan, Ken Ray, Clayton Morris, and Jonathan Coulton for their work that I am able to share on the show.

I just started school this week and I can finally schedule my new life. Now that I am back to work and going to school, I can find time on the weekends to do my podcast. I have a few things up my sleeves with a few possible new co-hosts. I think you all will enjoy them, at least I really hope you do. One I met at Comic-Con and one already has a podcast.

On a complete side note, I had a very sickening feeling last week where I thought someone had stole my identity. It came out that it was nothing I did nor was it really any theft going on, it was a corporate lemming over the phone who misread something or mistyped something. Once I knew I was in the clear with that situation I remembered LifeLock. Luckily I do not need it, but if you or someone you know thinks they might be a victim of identity theft, please look into signing up for it. It's pretty cheap and worth every penny.

Anyway I won't bore you with the sales pitch anymore, but it was a scare I don't feel like going through again so I'll leave it at that and you all should be hearing my voice real soon. Thanks again for your patronage!

Some of you might be wondering what the heck is going on with the podcast. Well, let's say it's been a roller coaster and I'm still on the final set of loops. What I mean by that is that over the last two months or so I have lost my job, obtained a new job, had some pretty bad toothaches (do not have dental coverage), had to deal with the evil bill collectors while being unemployed, and decided to go back to school for my MBA. I generally don't talk too much about myself personally on the podcast or this website, but I feel I owe some explanation to my listeners. I just started my new job and school in the last few weeks so I am trying to see when I can do the podcast in a quality atmosphere for the best audio.

Now to the good part. I have some great reviews coming and a lot to talk about when I do record my next show. I'm not sure if I will do a really long show or break it up into shorter shows. Audience feedback is always suggested and accepted. If you do have any questions or comments I also finally got my Google Voice phone number. You can call (707) 7-AMCPOD or use the Skype button down below to record on either my Google Voice or Skype answering machines. This way people do not have to worry about recording a message and E-mailing it to me or uploading to my website. If I left anything out I will post another blog entry. Thanks to everyone for staying loyal and listening, I really do appreciate it and hope to give back to the community real soon.

If you are using any hack on our Apple TV, try not to update just yet. If you have a stock Apple TV with no hacks then feel free to update. I am not exactly sure what has changed in 2.4, other than the new Apple Remote app for the iPhone/iPod Touch now has gesture support. I will give you all a better update on my next show coming soon.

I made the main podcast image smaller and added some ad banners. I know ad banners to some are annoying, but I need to start making money for the show. To this point all the money I spend has been my own and it gets to get kind of expensive over time. But this is also a good time for my listeners and website viewers to make suggestions and comments. As far as who I advertise for, I don't put up any ads from people I don't trust nor use myself. There are hundreds of advertisers I can choose from, but I only selected a few of them.
The very nice song I used in this Episode is Breaking the Wave by Josiah Barlow. I generally do not listen to this type of music, but I found him on the PodSafe Music Network and I thought it was a great song to have my listeners hear. A nice change of pace to some of the music I play on the show. His story is very interesting so check him out and buy his music on iTunes or Amazon!
http://www.josiahbarlow.com/
